Our research focuses on the development, dissemination, and implementation of community-viable interventions for children with ASD and their families. This work draws from autism intervention science, mental health services research, and dissemination and implementation science.
01 Developing
Building NDBI-based interventions
Foundational work establishing naturalistic developmental behavioral interventions (NDBIs), including Reciprocal Imitation Training and Project ImPACT, as effective parent-mediated approaches to social communication.
02 Delivering
Telehealth & community provider training
Testing self-directed and therapist-assisted telehealth delivery models, and training community providers to deliver NDBIs with fidelity outside specialist clinics.
03 Reaching
Access & equity within real-world systems
Studying how NDBIs reach families across service systems, cultures, and communities — including public systems such as Medicaid and Part C Early Intervention — and identifying barriers to access for underserved families.
