The RISE Study is an NIMH-funded collaborative R01 to examine the potential benefit of training early intervention providers to deliver a focused imitation intervention for toddlers at risk for ASD.
This study is a multi-site community effectiveness trial of Reciprocal Imitation Training (RIT) in publicly funded early intervention programs in four states (Michigan, Massachusetts, Illinois, and Washington). This project will provide important information on the effectiveness of parent-mediated RIT when delivered in community settings, including mechanisms of action, moderators of outcomes, and factors influencing implementation.
Our partners on this project are: University of Washington (Wendy Stone, Lisa Ibanez), University of Massachusetts-Boston (Alice Carter), Boston University/Boston Medical Center (Chris Sheldrick, Sarabeth Broder-Fingert), and Rush Medical College (Allie Wainer).
